Firstly you didn’t tell us how old your child is. If she is below the age of 5, then she must try and sleep in the afternoon. Sometimes children love to catch one long nap even at 3 or 4 years of age. If your child is cranky, then start naptime in the afternoon with her. Don’t force her to sleep. Lie down in bed yourself and keep away all stimulating activities. Gently tell her stories and explain to her that she will enjoy her evening playtime better if she is rested.
